A recent study conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture* and published in Atherosclerosis, demonstrated a MonaVie acai juice to have significant cardio-protective properties in an animal model. The MonaVie juice exhibited cardio-protective effects by reducing free radical cell membrane damage (lipid peroxidation), boosting antioxidant enzymes, and inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production.
Acai has received significant prominence due to its high antioxidant capacity and anti-inflammatory potential. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables is believed to have beneficial effects on cardiovascular health, largely due to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
