Before MonaVie, network marketing was something I had heard about, but never really paid any attention to it, so I will admit that I felt a little lost at the beginning. My advice to others who want to succeed is five-fold: 1) Realise the honest power of this business by building your belief in the direct selling industry; 2) Study and use the tools available to you, such as the MonaVie Getting and Staying Started Training Kit; 3) Work closely with your active upline and downline; 4) Set goals daily, weekly, and monthly to hone your skills toward continuously growing your MonaVie business; and 5) Never give up. When you face challenges, do not make excuses. Remember, to be successful is hard work, but being unsuccessful is harder on your life.
I enjoy MonaVie because it is a timeless product that everyone can use to help them achieve good health. Being in MonaVie has made me feel that anything is possible. After a full business career in partnership, we both retired when we were in our 70s. We were financially okay, but the quality of life was not what we hoped for or expected in retirement.
Megan Wolfenden (Val’s daughter-in-law) introduced us to MonaVie in 2006. She sent Val a case of MonaVie to try. We began drinking the product and noticed how it can help support our overall health. We then met MonaVie Founder, Chairman, and CEO Dallin A. Larsen in Sydney, Australia, as the company reached its one year anniversary. We were so impressed with the product and the leadership that we joined MonaVie and started building a business.
Our road to success was not a straight and narrow path. The road takes many twists and turns and often seems likes it’s going nowhere. Believing in the outcome and setting goals kept us on the road even when things were hard and the rewards occurred along the way. Our instincts about the product and the company were correct. We have not seen another opportunity like it in our combined 115 years of working life.
Follow the system, follow your leaders, and do the work. Like all worthwhile businesses, MonaVie takes consistent and constant action. The steps themselves are easy, but they must be repeated continually. Above everything else the business is about helping others achieve their goals. You have to like people and like helping them.
Some of the people we had hoped we could help were not prepared to do the work and that disappointed us. You just can’t tell whose dream is big enough to enable them to do the work, go through the rejection and pain required to achieve the rewards this amazing MonaVie business can bring them.
MonaVie has changed our life in many ways. First, the product has helped us maintain an active lifestyle. Second, we have established the type of financial freedom that we have always dreamed of. Third, we have made some amazing new friends. Fourth, we have helped a number of people we care about achieve the same improvements in health and financial freedom. Fifth, we will have provided a legacy for our families long after we have left the scene.
We have many more people to help and so are not yet interested in retiring. We are building our business with our family and friends and want to continue to do that for as long as we are able. We are having fun, why stop? It’s a blast.

Before joining MonaVie, I worked for many years in Information Technology, which means I had good communication skills with computers, but horrible communication skills with people. I was quickly losing interest with jobs of this calibre. I also realised that this job, no matter how hard I worked, would never provide the income and freedom that I dreamed about. It was just a job, not a business, not anything I was passionate about, and I saw a lot of people out there who could make big money in other ways.
Changing Directions
I decided it was time for a change. So, I started to go to these personal development courses to learn some communication skills. At one of the courses, I met two new friends who introduced MonaVie to me. I was not interested at all. However, after attending their tasting party, I realised that MonaVie was an amazing business. Then I started to do it, and after about one month, I realised that MonaVie had amazing products as well.
Renewed Determination
Determined to achieve financial freedom, I have simply moved forward, never giving up when difficulties arise. I truly believe MonaVie is the best opportunity to achieve financial freedom. Many distributors don’t see the same opportunity as I see it, and after they join MonaVie their business goes silent. That’s all right. I keep going, and keep in touch with them. One day, some of them will wake up. On the other hand, some distributors are active but they don’t have the right skills to keep momentum alive in their business. I keep learning skills to improve myself, and then teach them as much as possible.
Since I joined MonaVie, my life has started to change. My communication, sales, and leadership skills have improved greatly. I have more new friends, and I can become successful by helping people achieve their own success.

Having grown up in South Africa, I left to enjoy life in the United Kingdom for a few years before wanting to settle down in Australia to have a family. For the last 7 years my husband and I have had two wonderful little boys, built a property portfolio, owned and operated a well know franchise food outlet and had been looking all the while for a vehicle to really give us financial freedom. “We were both working in the information technology (IT) industry before we started with MonaVie. We worked hard and we were studying part time to obtain a master’s degree and an IT certificate in order to climb the corporate ladder. However, it was not easy and we saw a lot of friends lose their job during the global financial crisis.
